Macarons from Canele - Singapore

So I might've lied slightly in my travel update - I do have a one night stop over in Singapore as well.

Whilst doing some quick rounds the shopping malls, I saw this little patisserie that had some rather interesting macaron flavours.

I only ever do Starbucks when I'm in Asia. But I swear the green tea frappes are better in Asia!

So the little macaron place I found was called 'Canele'. They've got 4 branches in Singapore, I went to the one on Orchard Road. (I'm shopping, where else would I be?)

I always hate having to choose just a few flavours to try, I suppose I could always get more, but I would hate to completely negate my workout in the morning...

The white one was coconut and mango, the middle 'Black Forest' and the yellow one passionfruit with milk chocolate.

The coconut and mango was lacking a bit in mango flavour, but the texture and flavour of the coconut really came out. Which still led me to really enjoying it, although I suppose I was slightly disappointed I didn't get my hint of mango...

Black Forest was a delight, I had no idea what to expect really, but the filling inside the macaron was that of the glazed cherry that you get in regular Black Forest cakes. So whilst maybe not a cake-y texture, the flavour was certainly all there!

As for passionfruit...it was good, tasty, had the right flavours, but I've had better with a much stronger passionfruit flavour.
